Let the spine be the root for the arms. Up and down and across. Imagine a liquid space in each of the joints, long arm folding and unfolding at shoulders, elbow, wrists, and fingers. Opening and closing like gills. Let the armpits be deep and soft. Let the shoulders open to allow the spine to move. The scapulae are a pair of rafts floating on the back, listening. Opening int the space around you. Fingers become octopus playing the piano.
